EMK Lyss-Aarberg

On Sunday, August 21st our Lyss congregation has celebrated a Special Service, remembering its partnership with the Szekszárd congregation in the South of Hungary.

Edi Brechbühl back from an impressive trip to Israel had a sermon on the subject:
“Hungary, Israel and the Nations of the World”. The sermon was based on Ezekiel 36; 22 – 28, considering the actual situation in Israel. He also looked back at the  Hungarian history and the Jewish people in Hungary.

Pictures showing our Methodist brothers and sisters in Szekszárd, Györköny and Paks  let us share their congregational life. Responding to their request for prayer a time of intercession for our friends followed.

After the service we had the opportunity to enjoy a Hungarian Goulash lunch, not too hot. The very hot summer day had made his contribution.
